This site offers hundreds, if not thousands, of low fat and fat free vegetarian recipes. It isn't strictly a free online diet, because it doesn't specify menu plans or offer any rules. But these recipes can be used to make any meal lower in fat, and higher in nutrition.

Vegetarian Weight Loss Plan
This is a specific diet plan, without the recipes. Use these last two resources together if this lifestyle choice is appealing to you. Or mix-and-match with other free online diets to create a program that works well with your family's needs.
